School liability immunity under siege

(Colo.) School administrators and some civil rights advocates are warning against adoption of a  Colorado bill that would soften the state’s government immunity protection for schools and force disclosure of more details surrounding risk prevention planning. SB 213, co-sponsored by a bi-partisan group of high-ranking legislators, seeks to hold schools responsible for the safety of students and staff by waiving legal protections currently guaranteed under the Colorado Governmental Immunity Act.
